Reporting Analyst at Affinity Trust

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in Thame, Oxfordshire or Leicester
Travel: You will need to be able to travel between offices and attend key meetings when required
Contract: Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Reports to: Head of Performance

We’re looking for a Reporting Analyst to help us make better use of data through accurate, accessible dashboards, reports and analytics.

This is a hands-on specialist role where you’ll use Power BI to improve data visibility, strengthen performance reporting and support better decision-making across the organisation.

Your work will help colleagues, senior leaders and trustees understand performance, spot trends and take action.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design, build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Use Power Query, DAX and data modelling to produce accurate, reliable insight.
  • Translate reporting needs into clear, practical reporting solutions.
  • Define, monitor and report on KPIs that support performance and improvement.
  • Test, validate and release recurring and ad hoc reports.
  • Support good data governance, GDPR compliance and responsible use of information.

About you

  • Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
  • Good working knowledge of Power Query, DAX and data modelling.
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation and dashboard design.
  • Experience gathering requirements and explaining insight to non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience defining and monitoring KPIs, and testing and validating reports.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines.
  • A values-led approach, with a commitment to listening, learning, collaboration and trying new things.
