We're looking for a highly commercial and collaborative Senior Finance Business Partner to help drive performance, strengthen financial accountability, and support sustainable, high-quality services across our organisation.
Helping connect people and finance by making the numbers make sense
This is a key senior finance position partnering closely with Divisional Directors and operational leaders. You'll provide financial insight, challenge, and support to help services understand performance, manage risks, and make informed decisions that improve outcomes for the people we support.
As a strategic partner to the business, you'll support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, contract sustainability, workforce efficiency, and commercial decision-making. You'll translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations that support high-quality services and long-term organisational success.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll also play a key role in business planning, financial improvement initiatives, tender evaluations, and scenario modelling, helping Affinity Trust achieve its strategic and operational goals.
With us, you will:
- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and accountability.
- Lead monthly financial reviews, providing insight and recommendations.
- Identify risks, opportunities and improvement actions.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning.
- Analyse staffing, agency, overtime, sickness and commissioned hours.
- Support contract reviews, fee negotiations, business cases and tenders.
- Deliver commercial analysis to improve sustainability and profitability.
- Work across Finance, Operations, Commercial and Performance teams.
- Line manage and develop a Management Accountant.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.
What we're looking for:
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent qualification.
- Significant Finance Business Partner experience in a complex, multi-site organisation.
- Strong management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
- Experience using financial and operational data to drive improvement.
- A track record of improving financial performance or operational sustainability.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience managing or developing finance colleagues.
