Job Introduction
We’re all about possibilities. Are you?
Are you a positive, friendly person who likes walking, listening to music and enjoys a trip to the local café?
Become a Support Worker.
What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.
You will be part of a fantastic team that provides support to 2 gentlemen in their own home. They enjoy a range of sensory activities at home as well as many activities within their wider community. Family is really important here, with regular visits and positive contributions from family members. If you are a warm and committed person who is enthusiastic about helping people to live their best life, then we want to hear from you.
You should be available to work a variety of shifts across the week and alternate weekends.
You will need to be a driver and willing to drive a mobility vehicle, as the gentlemen love to explore their local community. For this you should have a full UK manual driving licence and have held it for at least 1 year for insurance purposes.
So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.
Ability to commute/relocate: S13 - You must be able to reliably commute for shift start times or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.
What will we do?
Supporting people is really important but it’s not all trips out and artwork. We also support people to take their medication, make healthy lifestyle choices or maintain their home in a way they are safe and well.
It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!
If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
Ready to do things differently? Submit your application.
We’re committed to being Disability Confident and we guarantee to interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
