We currently have opportunities for Bank Support Workers to join our teams working alongside young people with Autism and Learning disabilities in their homes in Bristol. (BS7 & BS10)

To be part of these young persons teams you will need to have experience supporting people with Learning disabilities and Autism, and be able to demonstrate your understanding of supporting with complex behaviours or Positive Behaviour Support.

You will be creative, Passionate, calm and patient

These young people enjoy outdoor activities, especially walking so you must be prepared to support with physical activities.

Above all you must have a great sense of humour, positive approach and genuine desire to support people to maintain their quality of life and independence regardless of the potential barriers they face.

The people we support like to get out and about and have their own vehicles, so you will need to be a driver and willing to drive their vehicles. For this you should have a full UK manual driving licence and have held it for at least 1 year for insurance purposes.

This is a bank role with shifts available across the week and weekends.

Ability to commute/relocate: BS10 - You must be able to reliably commute for shift start times or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Bank Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS.


What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all trips out and watching TV. We also support people to make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way they feel safe, well and happy.

It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!
