Part Time Support Worker - Whitstable, Kent

Job Introduction

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Do you enjoy the thrill of a theme park? Is a round of Golf your thing?

Are you creative and outgoing?

Become a Support Worker

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

We are looking for someone to join our team supporting a gentleman in his own home in Whitstable.

You will be working in his home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. So if you enjoy listening to music, going for drives out and exploring the countryside we want to hear from you. From making a cuppa on their own to finding their place in community, the people we support have their own goals to shoot for and milestones to reach – big or small.

So if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

This gentleman has his own vehicle, so you will need to be a driver and willing to drive his car. For this you should have a full UK manual driving licence and have held it for at least 1 year for insurance purposes.

This is a part time role and you should be available to work shifts across the week and some weekends, including some sleep-in shifts as needed.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.

You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave.

Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits.

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all trips out and artwork. We also support people to make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way they fee safe and well.

It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!

If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.

Ready to do things differently? Submit your application.

We’re committed to being Disability Confident and we guarantee to interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
