Job Introduction

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Are you Patient, Empathetic and Friendly?

Become a Waking Night Support Worker

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.
We are looking for a warm, welcoming person to join our fantastic team supporting 3 ladies who live in a rural, countryside area in Great Ellingham.
You will be working within their homes, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested.

Some people may like to stay up late and watch a film, listen to Music with a hot chocolate, or enjoy a relaxing bath before going to bed. For others, they may be early risers and want your support to get up and ready for the day ahead, and so your role will be to provide responsive support during the night and early morning as required.

As this is a rural location, it is important you can get to and from the location for the night shift of 10pm-7am. We have set nights here of Monday, Wednesday and Friday although we do have a little flexibility with this currently.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.
You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave
Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all watching films and drinking Hot Chocolate. We also support people to take medication, assist with personal care and maintain their home in a way they feel safe, secure and happy, so you may be asked to support with some light household duties as well.

At times you will be required to attend training and team meetings during the day, outside of your normal night work pattern.

If you want to empower the people, we support in Great Ellingham to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Waking Night Support Worker today.
