Make a Difference by Supporting People to Live Life Their Way

As a Support Worker with Affinity Trust, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference every day. By providing the right support, encouragement, and reassurance, you'll help people build confidence, maintain their independence, and enjoy the life they choose.

No two days are the same. One day you might be supporting someone with their weekly shopping, the next helping them enjoy a favourite activity or explore a new interest. It's a rewarding role where the support you provide can have a lasting impact on someone's quality of life.

At this location, you'll support ladies and gentlemen living in a shared home in Eastry. The people we support enjoy getting out and about for walks, going for relaxing drives, and taking part in activities at home. You'll play an important role in helping them enjoy the things they love while encouraging independence and choice in their daily lives.

This role includes a mixture of shifts, including sleep-ins which are, so applicants must be willing and able to work sleep-in shifts.

Please note: Eastry is a rural location with limited public transport options. Applicants should carefully consider how they will travel to and from work, including for early and late shifts. While the location may be accessible if you live locally in Eastry or the surrounding villages, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential and most applicants will need to be able to drive to the service reliably.

We provide all the training you'll need to succeed. While experience isn't essential, we're looking for people who are kind, patient, reliable, and passionate about making a positive difference.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting people to enjoy their daily routines and achieve personal goals
  • Encouraging independence and helping people make their own choices
  • Building positive relationships based on trust and respect
  • Supporting people to access activities they enjoy, both at home and in the community
  • Working alongside a compassionate and dedicated team to provide outstanding support

What We're Looking For

We can teach you everything you need to know about providing great support. What we can't teach is the natural desire to help others thrive.

✨ Celebrating someone's achievements, no matter how big or small
✨ Brightening someone's day through kindness and encouragement
✨ Supporting people to take steps towards greater independence
✨ Bringing energy, patience, and a positive attitude to every shift

That's what makes a great Support Worker.
