Looking for a meaningful career where you can make a real impact?
As a Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) practitioner, you will help children and young people with learning disabilities, Autism and sometimes other support needs to transform their lives.
Using techniques built on the principles of inclusion, choice and participation, your support could be the difference between a locked door and an open path to independence.
Why Affinity Trust?
At Affinity Trust, we're passionate about growth – both for the people we support and for our team members. With us, you will be able to:
- Progress Your Career - We’ll enrol you in a fully supported Level 4 PBS BTEC course.
- Make a Tangible Impact - Your expertise will help young people stay in their communities and lead fulfilling lives, reducing the need for specialist residential care.
- Work Flexibly - Enjoy a role that values work-life balance with flexible working options, paid travel time, and mileage covered.
- Join a Supportive Team - Regular clinical supervision from experienced professionals ensures you are fully supported in your role.
Who will I support?
You will work with children and young people who may not be accessing education and may be at significant risk of entering specialist residential care.
How will I make a difference?
Every young person we support will benefit from different strategies and interventions to help them flourish in a safe environment.
You will take time to understand the lived experience of the young person, and support them, their families, carers and other professionals to learn and apply the appropriate positive behaviour support techniques.
Your support will enable young people to stay in their current placements, access their communities and build tools they will use for the rest of their lives to live great, independent lives.
How will I develop?
If you don’t already hold a BTEC Level 4 in Positive Behaviour Support (or equivalent), we will enrol you onto this course and support you throughout your studies while you work with us.
Regular clinical supervision from experienced professionals ensures you are fully supported in your role.
What benefits will I have?
We have a range of benefits that you can mix and match to suit you, such as:
- Care Friends - our employee referral and reward app. You’ll receive points which can be exchanged for extra money.
