But we’re not standing still—we’re growing, evolving, and transforming how we work to ensure we can deliver exceptional support and become the employer of choice in the sector.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an exceptional Head of People Operations—someone who blends heart and strategic vision with sharp operational leadership.

You’ll play a critical role in enhancing and unifying our People Operations function—shaping how we deliver HR services, improve colleague experience, and bring our values to life every day.

What you'll do:

  • Lead, inspire and develop a talented People Operations team through a period of transformation
  • Design and implement scalable, people-first processes that empower our teams and uphold our legal and regulatory commitments.
  • Embed equity, diversity and inclusion in every corner of our people practices
  • Partner with senior leaders to shape our people strategy and ensure it delivers on our ambitious 5-year plan
  • Play a key part in our journey towards an agile, collaborative People & Culture model

About you:

  • You’re an experienced HR/People leader who thrives in complex, values-led environments
  • You are adept with process mapping and design and experienced in the use and development of HR systems
  • You work well with ambiguity and change and are a creative thinker who is solutions led
  • You have a deep understanding of HR best practice, and change management and ideally have some experience of project management
  • You’re passionate about inclusion, dignity at work, and employee voice
  • You’ve led HR teams through periods of growth or transformation and are excited to do it again—this time, with even more purpose

Why join us?

  • Work for a charity where people really do come first
  • Be part of a courageous and committed leadership team who are not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Access ongoing professional development, coaching and wellbeing support
  • Join a culture that is collaborative, values-driven, and inclusive by design

  • Buy and sell annual leave – Transfer windows open twice a year.
  • Pension and Life Assurance - You’ll be enrolled into our Scottish Widows pension scheme and Life Assurance scheme.

People are at the heart of everything we do. We give our best, work together, and have courage.
