Supporting people to live great lives

At Affinity Trust, we empower people to lead meaningful lives on their own terms. As a support worker, you will play a key role in promoting independence and building social connections. Your support will make a real difference in their lives.

We are looking for a female support worker to join our team supporting a lady with learning disabilities and complex  support needs, in her own home.

This lady is looking for staff who can support with all aspects of the day, balancing her complex health needs with the things she really enjoys doing, like long walks by the canal in her wheelchair and going out for drives in her car. She enjoys the sensory experience of being outdoors, so you need to enjoy being outdoors, no matter the weather!

You should be prepared to work shifts as part of a flexible rota, including some weekends and sleep in shifts.

You will be a driver and willing to drive her automatic vehicle as part of your role.

Previous experience of supporting people with additional health care needs would be an advantage, as would supporting people with non-verbal communication needs.

"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010".
