Bank Support Worker - Sheffield (S10)

Job Introduction

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Are you a walking enthusiast? Have you got the time to spare to knock down a few strikes in the bowling alley? Are you a die-hard Disney fan?

And patience. Do you have patience and empathy?

Become a Bank Support Worker.

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

We are looking for a fun-loving person to join our brilliant team supporting our gentleman who lives in his own home in Sheffield (S10).

You will be working in his home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. This is a hands-on role, our gentleman uses a wheelchair and loves to get out into the community. It’s crucial that you have some experience within social care.

For this role it is essential that you have a full UK driving licence which you will have held for at least one year.

We are looking for flexible and open-minded people to join our team. If you are energetic and love trying new activities and are passionate about helping people to access their community, then we want to hear from you.

You should be available to work part time shifts across the week and alternate weekends, including sleep-in shifts as needed.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

Ability to commute/relocate: S10 - You must be able to reliably commute for shift start times or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Bank Support Worker. We can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all trips out and artwork. We also support people to take their medication, make healthy lifestyle choices or maintain their home in a way they are safe and well.
It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!
If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
