Help people to live the life they choose. Bring brilliant people into roles that make it possible.
At Affinity Trust we support people with learning disabilities and autism to live as independently as possible. We’re values-led, person-centred and proudly inclusive. If you’re an organised, solutions-focused recruiter who thrives in regulated settings, we’d love to hear from you.

The role

As our Recruiter, you’ll be the go-to partner for hiring across our support locations and teams across the organisation. You’ll combine a consultative approach with hands-on delivery to find, hire and onboard great colleagues who share our values.

You will:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for a range of roles (e.g. Support Workers, Managers and specialist posts).
  • Partner with managers to scope roles, define success profiles and plan attraction strategies.
  • Write inclusive, values-led adverts and reach diverse talent through job boards, social media, community groups, careers fairs and referrals.
  • Build and nurture talent pools for hard-to-fill and volume campaigns.
  • Run fair, skills-based and values-led selection processes, including coaching managers on recruitment best practices.
  • Own candidate experience through timely communication, feedback and support from application to offer.
  • Ensure safer recruitment and regulatory compliance (e.g. right-to-work, DBS/PVG checks, references).
  • Keep our ATS and metrics up to date; use data to improve time-to-hire and quality-of-hire.
  • Support induction/onboarding so new colleagues feel welcomed and set up for success.
  • Flex your workload to meet peaks, occasionally supporting events outside core hours.

About you

You bring:

  • Recruitment experience in health & social care or a similarly regulated environment (e.g. NHS, education, supported housing, charity, criminal justice).
  • A highly organised way of working, able to juggle multiple campaigns without dropping the detail.
  • A flexible, consultative approach. You listen, challenge constructively and build trusted relationships.
  • A can-do attitude with a solutions mindset. You anticipate issues and unblock them quickly.
  • Understanding of safer recruitment principles and the realities of recruiting in regulated services.
  • Confidence with ATS/HRIS tools and using data to make decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Experience designing inclusive assessments, running recruitment events or community-based outreach.
  • Knowledge of local labour markets and partnership working with job centres, colleges and charities.
  • Ability to travel to support locations when needed.

What we offer

  • A role with purpose and impact, in a charity known for high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Flexible/hybrid working and supportive line management.
  • Learning and development to help you grow your career in people/talent.
  • A range of benefits to select from, including Stream to access your pay early and add to your savings directly from your pay, fully funded health cash plans, death in service benefit, a range of discounts at your favourite retailers, and salary sacrifice schemes to spread the cost of your purchases.

We’re committed to being Disability Confident and we guarantee to interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy. If you need any adjustments to the recruitment process to support you with a disability, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

Safeguarding & pre-employment checks

Affinity Trust is committed to safeguarding the people we support. Offers are subject to satisfactory references, right-to-work and an enhanced DBS check (criminal records are considered case-by-case and won’t necessarily bar you).
